| Description |
Many classical signal processing algorithms, such as the Levinson one, may be regarded as recursive procedures for generating sequences of autoregressive filter approximations. These can effectively be characterized by means of their autocorrelation functions. In this paper, with reference to the general form of the mentioned procedures, we derive the relationship among the autocorrelation coefficients of the various filter approximations, which allows us to prove some interesting properties of the specific algorithms encompasses by such a general form.
